As FestivalSouth opens its 15th season with the Broadway hit “Jersey Boys” through Saturday, June 1, the celebration follows with a special free FestivalMusic and Artie Events for Families collaboration, “The Not So Silent Movie,” featuring Dr. Douglas Rust at the organ, accompanying a double feature of Charlie Chaplain films, “Easy Street” and “The Adventurer.”
Jackson George Regional Library System is hosting its annual Summer Library Program from June 1st to June 30th. The program includes a full schedule of events for all ages, with kick-off events at selected branches. The theme this year is “Adventure Begins at Your Library”, which is designed to encourage children to continue reading during the vacation so that valuable reading skills will not be lost. In addition, we hope to offer a variety of activities for children, teens, and adults. Families are encouraged to participate in the fun and learning activities together.
