Downtown McComb is entering a new chapter as the McComb Main Street Association welcomes Brandon Andrews as its new Executive Director.
For Andrews, the role is deeply personal. With nearly a decade of experience working with the railroad, he developed an appreciation for how communities connect and grow. He is also a Realtor licensed throughout Mississippi and an active member of the Southwest Mississippi Board of Realtors, the Mississippi Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
His commitment to McComb extends beyond his professional life. Andrews serves on the boards of United Givers of Southwest Mississippi, St. Andrew’s Mission, the Southwest Mississippi Medical Foundation, and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and he is part of the organizing committee for Smokin’ on the Tracks.
“I stepped into this role because I love my hometown,” Andrews said. “McComb has so many strengths, and I want to help celebrate what is good here and leave things better than I found them.”
The mission of Main Street McComb, focused on revitalizing downtown while honoring its history, is one Andrews strongly believes in. He hopes to help future business owners and community leaders recognize the opportunity that already exists in McComb, especially within downtown’s historic buildings.
What excites him most is the character of those spaces. Landmarks like the nearly one hundred year old State Theatre and revitalized properties such as the Palace Theatre serve as reminders that even vacant buildings still hold potential.
In the months ahead, Andrews’ priority is ensuring that Main Street McComb and VisitMcComb.org serve as a positive and unifying voice for the community. He plans to build on the momentum already in place while honoring the work of former Executive Director Shaun Thompson.
Looking to the future, Andrews envisions a downtown where people can live, work, and enjoy life together. Through events, beautification, and community engagement, he hopes to strengthen both the spirit and the appearance of downtown McComb.
Residents can support Main Street’s efforts by shopping local, attending events, and sharing the positive story of downtown. Andrews hopes that when people visit downtown McComb, they feel proud of its history and excited about what is ahead.
