There probably is no more iconic American food than a good old-fashioned hamburger. Its about as American as you can get. It’s a food that can easily be made at home, but once the fast food industry took off with the idea, our eating habits changed forever.

Of our common backyard birds, Northern Cardinals stand out and are likely the very first bird we recognized as a child. According to the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, male cardinals are perhaps most responsible for getting folks to begin to want to learn more about birds. Known as the “Hub City”, Hattiesburg is home to many businesses, small and large, and is jam packed with activities year round. But what are the origins of the name of this incredible city? It turns out that the way Hattiesburg got its name is comparable to a romance novel.
