The 6th Annual Mississippi Pickle Festival

Pucker up, Mississippi, because it’s time for the 6th Annual Mississippi Pickle Fest 2025.

This year’s festival will take place in Jackson, Mississippi, on the grounds of the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. The 2025 Pickle Fest will run over two days: Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

For those who have never attended this particular pickle party, it is a fun time for all ages, with the usual festival vendors, activities, and events. The only difference is everything at this fun, educational, and family-friendly festival revolves around the world of pickling.

Pickling and canning used to be common occurrences in most Mississippi homes, but that’s not the case now. Many Mississippians have no clue how to pickle anything. Instead, they rely on commercially pickled products.

But for these two days in June, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation aims to change that lack of information in the tastiest, most adventurous way possible.

So, come on out to the Pickle Fest and taste for yourself.

The activities begin Saturday morning with a little fun pun on pickling with a modern-day Pickleball Exhibition sponsored by Community Bank. After that, the day is packed full of tangy activities, including a Pick a Pickle Contest, a Pickle Palooza Food Contest, a Pickle Eating Contest, and a whole bunch of fun activities designed solely for kids in the Sweet Pickle Patch Area.

Plus, there are daily demonstrations on the actual process of home canning – pickles and other food products. These educational exhibitions are presented to festival attendees by the Mississippi State Extension Office. And they know their stuff! So, get ready to learn lots about the possibilities of canning various foods at home.

Of course, no Mississippi festival is complete without good, live music, and the 2025 Pickle Fest has its share of performers lined up to entertain festivalgoers throughout both days of the event. Check out the variety of musicians slated to perform, their scheduled appearance times, and a schedule of both days’ activities here: https://www.msagmuseumfoundation.org/pickle-fest-schedule.

But what’s good music without equally good literature? To answer that question, the 2025 Pickle Fest offers Mississippi’s youngest readers “Story Time with Uncle Story” on both days of the festival.

This fabulous Pickle Fest has previously garnered awards as the state’s best small festival, so it might be best to go ahead and purchase tickets for each day online now at https://www.msagmuseumfoundation.org/pickle-fest. But keep in mind that the 2025 Pickle Fest is an outdoor event that will take place, rain or shine. So, there’s no refunds!

But there is a 100% guarantee of zesty food, fun, and fellowship for everyone who attends this year’s festival. So, don’t miss out.

The 2025 Mississippi Pickle Fest is a big dill!
