Main Squeeze Juice Co. plans to add two locations in the Pine Belt after a new ownership group took over the company’s Hattiesburg store.
The Sakota family now owns and operates the Main Squeeze at 109 S. 31st Ave., Suite 40, in The District at Midtown. The family has entered a three-store area development agreement that includes the existing Hattiesburg location and two additional Pine Belt locations.
Specific sites for the two new stores have not been announced. The locations are expected to open in 2027 and 2028.
The expansion comes six years after Main Squeeze first entered the Mississippi market. The Hattiesburg store opened in 2020 under previous owners Jeff and Katey Wilson and was the company’s first location in the state.
At the time, the Wilsons had an agreement to develop 10 Main Squeeze locations across Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. The company currently lists Hattiesburg as its only Mississippi location.
Marko Sakota, one of the new owners, has more than 30 years of experience in hospitality supply and wholesale food distribution. Originally from South Africa, Sakota later settled in Hattiesburg with his family.
The Hattiesburg location sells cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls and other food and drink items.
