The Pascagoula River Audubon Center is proud to offer a winter camp for kids on December 19-20.
The two-day event, said to be both educational and fun, is for children grades first through fifth. Held at the nature preserve in Moss Point, the camp will be each day from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and offer the opportunity for children to learn more about plants. Activities will include scavenger hunts, games, experiments, nature walks, and other outdoor activities.
It’s $30 daily per child but $50 for both days. What a perfect way to give yourself a little extra time to take care of those last-minute Christmas chores! Sign up here or call (228)475-0825.
The Pascagoula River Audubon Center is also offering an ongoing educational program for children called Nature Tots. Every Thursday until May, children ages 2-5 with an adult can sign up for a class that runs from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
With themes changed weekly, an educator will lead the program through stories that are designed to encourage children to interact, understand, and experience the world around them. Music and hand-on exploration gives children and the caregiver a chance to spend time together outdoors. For more information, click here.
