Pine Hill Social Brings Flea Market, Music to Downtown Wiggins

The Pine Hill Social is hosting a community flea market every Sunday in downtown Wiggins to bring the community together through the Pine Hill Association.

The family-friendly event features live music, local vendors, food and shopping, including clothing and handmade items, throughout the Pine Hill area.

“Rather than having to leave and go to the coast or go to Hattiesburg… we’re wanting to do something right here in Wiggins,” event organizer Jake Fletcher said.

The event is free to attend, with organizers encouraging visitors to support local businesses and vendors.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for smaller businesses or people who want to make a little bit of extra money,” he said.

Fletcher said the monthly event plays an important role in the community.

The event stays consistent each month, while themes may change. The April event will also include a community “thank you” to Mississippi Power for its support of downtown lighting improvements.

“It creates that sense of community,” he said. “A lot of people in Stone County travel outside the county for entertainment… so it’s important to have something consistent here.”

In addition to entertainment, the Pine Hill Social also supports future projects in downtown Wiggins. Raffle tickets are sold during events, with proceeds going toward improvements and larger entertainment opportunities.

Vendor space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with no fee attached to set up.

Those interested are asked to reach out through the Pine Hill Entertainment District Facebook page.
