    Free, Family-Friendly Earth Day Festival Celebrates Community and Conservation in Moss Point

    MOSS POINT, Miss. (April 2026) — Families across the Mississippi Gulf Coast are invited to a free, family friendly Earth Day celebration at Sawmill Landing Park, bringing together community, conservation and outdoor exploration on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Hosted by the Pascagoula River Audubon Center in partnership with the City of Moss Point, the festival highlights the natural beauty and ecological importance of the Pascagoula River Basin while continuing a tradition of environmental stewardship and education.

    Designed for all ages, the event features hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and outdoor experiences that make learning about nature engaging and accessible. Attendees can enjoy a live raptor demonstration, connect with conservation partners and explore how everyday actions impact the environment. Additional activities include children’s crafts, native plant sales and educational demonstrations.

    Guests can also experience the waterways firsthand through guided kayak tours led by local experts. Advance registration is encouraged by contacting [email protected].

    The festival will also include live music, local artisan vendors and a variety of food options, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

    Organizers note that the event not only celebrates Earth Day but also supports ongoing conservation efforts across the community, encouraging attendees to develop a deeper connection to the natural world.
