Mississippi singer-songwriter Paul Thorn and his wife, Heather, recently performed at the Grand Ole Opry.

Heather and Paul, who live in Nettleton and have been married for 22 years, sang “Breaking Up for Good Again” on the Grand Ole Opry stage on September 21, as well as the American Music Festival and a handful of other venues while in Nashville.

Paul has been featured and charted multiple times on the Billboard Top 100 and the Americana Radio Charts. His music is described as “bluesy, rocking, thoroughly Southern American, yet also speaking universal truths.” Heather, on the other hand, grew up singing in church and currently works as a fitness instructor and personal trainer at the NMCC-Tupelo Wellness Center.

“‘Breaking Up for Good Again’ is about relationship troubles, which anyone who has been married for very long has had,” Heather said. “Paul asked me to be a part of it, and it was a privilege and an honor.”

The duet was also released on Paul’s most recent album, “Never Too Late To Call.”
