The Sumrall Development Foundation will host a concert featuring opener Mississippi Moonlight and headliner Jeff Bates on April 11 from 6-10 p.m. at the Beam Park Amphitheater.
The show marks the first paid concert event hosted at the theater since its opening in December. The theater was the first of three projects funded by grants from the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Fund.
The event will also feature food trucks and yard games, with golf cart parking nearby for those riding the Rails to Trails.
Bates is best known for his songs “One Second Chance” and “Long, Slow Kisses,” which have 4.3 million views on YouTube and 3.1 million streams on Spotify, respectively.
Jeff Bates has had five songs reach more than 1 million streams or views on Spotify or YouTube. That has helped him build more than 230,000 social media followers, subscribers and monthly listeners across multiple platforms, including nearly 116,000 on Facebook.
Opening band Mississippi Moonlight is a cover band that started in Sumrall nearly a decade ago, according to its Facebook announcement for the concert.
The band has just more than 6,000 followers combined across Facebook and Instagram.
Tickets for the event are $20 and are available through the event’s Zeffy page.
