Local Hattiesburg residents are often referred to as “Hattiesburgers,” and here’s a fun fact: They officially claimed this nickname in 2016. With an official nickname of “Hattiesburger,” it’s safe to say that this Pine Belt city knows a thing or two about a good burger!
Food trails have become widely popular throughout the U.S., and now there’s another one to add to the list! The HATTIES[BURGER] Trail, sponsored by Visit Hattiesburg, highlights local restaurants throughout the Hub City that offer delicious hamburgers on their regular menus.
There is a wide variety of burgers and other delicious food on this trail, which takes place in four geographic areas of Hattiesburg: The Avenues, Downtown, Midtown, and West Hattiesburg.
Robert St. John’s Crescent City and Ed’s Burger Joint are two of many local eateries featured on this savory burger path. With 33 locations featured, foodies can identify participating restaurants through a HATTIES[BURGER] Trail marker displayed at each restaurant’s entry. Every burger lover should know that they’re on the right path between the aroma of delicious food and the trail signs!
