Grease, the hit Broadway rock n’ roll musical, based on the iconic film of the same name, is playing Beau Rivage this summer for a limited 18-show engagement, June 12-29. The 4-time Tony Award nominated production is a story of teenage love, heartbreak, friendship and coming of age. The show features legendary music, including the Academy Award nominated song, “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” as well as “Grease” and “You’re the One That I Want,” both of which were #1 hits on the Billboard Top 100 list. These songs will be heard in addition to the Jacobs/Casey songs made famous by the original stage production including “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “We Go Together.”
Through world-renowned music, performed with a live band, and high-energy choreography, Grease celebrates 1950s youth culture, rebellion, love, and special bonds between friends. Throw your mittens around your kittens and hand jive the night away, with the show that will make you want to sing along, dance in your seats, and stand up and shout, ‘A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop, a-wop-bam-boom’! Dust off your leather jackets, pull up your bobby-socks, and take a trip to a simpler time with Grease the Musical.
“I am thrilled to be continuing to bring Broadway to the Beau!,” said Rand Productions President and Executive Producer Jeb K. Rand. “With the success of Footloose and Elf last year, I’m truly excited about the ‘theatrical experience’ that Grease the Musical is going to deliver to the Gulf Coast.”
