What better place to host a giant literary lawn party than Mississippi? The Magnolia State is known to produce some of the greatest writers of all time, and this beloved annual event brings readers and writers together from all over the state and the nation. 

On Saturday, August 19, the Mississippi Book Festival will again be held in Jackson, on the State Capitol Building grounds, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. 

Art certainly is everywhere in Mississippi, and that fact is made abundantly clear through the many beautiful and breathtaking public art that can be experienced through some of the most prominent art walks in the state.

BoHo Social House Wine and Cheese describes itself as “a wine and cheese social area with a light menu,” and it’s a good description. It goes on to say its “A trendy wine bar located in downtown Biloxi offering wine, bubbly flights, made to order charcuterie, small plates and daily specials.” This is a much more descriptive image of this lovely little place, and every word rings true.
