    New Events Coming to Cruisin’ the Coast 2023

    Cruisin’ the Coast 2023 is packed with scheduled events across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All week long, there will be so much going on it is important to plan your days. Here are a few suggestions and several new events for 2023. Have a fun and safe Cruisin’ the Coast 2023.

    CTC 2023 Highlights & New Events

    SUNDAY, OCT. 1 – View the Cruise as always starts off Cruisin’ the Coast in Gulfport, but did you know there will be Movie Night in Gautier? Cruisin’ Through the Decades begins at noon and at about 5:30 you can relax, settle in, and watch the classic Burt Reynolds film, Smokey and the Bandit. Get ready to cheer and laugh as the Bandit outsmarts the Smokey, played by Jackie Gleason. This movie classic only gets better.

    MONDAY, OCT. 2 – WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3 – Autocross at Coast Coliseum in the west parking lot, (Monday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Tues & Wed 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.). This interactive event is fun for drivers and viewers alike. Watch as the classic cars and trucks take on the challenging course and attempt to beat their own fastest lap. There is plenty of room to bring chairs and relax, pack some water it can get hot under the sun. You must be registered to drive the course.

    TUESDAY, OCT. 2 – The Flame Throwing Competition at Island View Casino in Gulfport is always popular. If you have not been to this action-packed, flame-filled event, expect plenty of excitement. It needs to get dark, so this event starts around 6 p.m.

    WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3 – NEW this year, Waveland will participate with Hot Rods & Hospitality. Starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. Music, fun, and super classics on Coleman Avenue in Waveland. Come by before Blessing of the Classics in Diamondhead. That lineup begins at 1:30 with the events starting at 4 p.m.

    THURSDAY, OCT. 4 – “Oh, I’d love to be an Oscar Mayer…” Look for the Oscar Mayer Frankmobile in Pass Christian. This new event is sure to be fun. All day, starting at 9 a.m. and running to 5 p.m., the Pass will be buzzing with classics, look for the Wiener Mobile.

    FRIDAY, OCT. 5 & SATURDAY, OCT. 6 – A special treat will be the free concerts at Hollywood Casino Resort in Bay St. Louis. Head to the Friday evening and to the SATURDAY SUPER CONCERT for live music admission is free. Friday lineup is headlined by Mustache The Band, with Saturday music including The Blues Brothers Soul Band plus “Simple the Best,” a Tina Turner tribute band. The stage will be rocking with music starting at 7 p.m. Don’t be late.

    Cruisin the Coast 2023 is set to be the best yet. This is a short list of all the fun and festivities, so check the official website for a full schedule. You won’t want to miss anything. Happy Cruisin’!
