Belhaven University is celebrating two prestigious awards from the U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Online Programs. The University received recognition in both the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs and the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans categories.

Belhaven University President Dr. Roger Parrott credited the achievement to the dedication of the University’s faculty and staff. “At Belhaven, our Christ-centered mission drives us to help every student reach their God-given potential while surrounding them with care and support. These awards reflect the exceptional commitment of our faculty and staff in creating a robust and nurturing learning environment for all students, whether on campus or online. I’m especially proud of our efforts to serve our veteran students, who have served us all so faithfully.”

U.S. News evaluated Belhaven’s online programs based on factors such as graduation rates, faculty credentials, and the availability of student support services. Belhaven’s programs stood out alongside those from institutions such as the University of North Carolina, Texas A&M University, and Arizona State University.

“This recognition highlights the tremendous value of an online degree from Belhaven University,” said Suzanne Sullivan, vice president for university enrollment and marketing. “Being honored by U.S. News & World Report underscores our position as a leader in online education and shows our commitment to serving a diverse range of students. We remain focused on providing academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.”

Belhaven’s inclusion in the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans underscores its dedication to supporting those who have served or are actively serving in the military. The university has consistently been recognized as a Military Friendly institution, and this accolade further highlights its commitment to veteran and active-duty students.

A pioneer in Mississippi’s online education, Belhaven launched its first fully online degree program in 2006. The university has since expanded its offerings to include a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Belhaven’s online programs allow students to pursue their academic goals while balancing work, family, and other commitments. The programs are known for their rigorous curriculum, personalized support, and integration of cutting-edge technology.
