Three Phi Theta Kappa students from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus have been named 2018 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars.

Only 10 students in the nation were awarded the scholarship. The scholarship is worth $1,000 for her second year at MGCCC and $2,000 for two years at a university of her choice (total $5,000).

The Moss Point School District’s Robotics Engineering program was awarded the 2018 Mississippi Outstanding Program of the Year Award.

The Pascagoula-Gautier School District will hold district-wide registration 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, July 19, and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, July 20, for all returning and new students to the Pascagoula-Gautier School District.

Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year. This is a federally funded educational opportunity which is free to parents.

The classes are free of charge and open to the public. A DMR Marine Patrol Officer will be instructing each class. These folks are your friends on and off the water.

Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers at both Ocean Springs Hospital and Singing River Hospital have announced the winners of their annual scholarship awards for students pursuing a health related field of study.

The Gautier High School Class of 2018 will graduate at 7 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.

The Pascagoula High School Class of 2018 will graduate at 8 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2018 at War Memorial Stadium in Pascagoula.
