    • Ages 8+

    Bakeshop Basics

    • Budding bakers will learn to prepare both sweet and savory treats, as well as kitchen safety and sanitation, reading recipes, mise en place, and measuring ingredients.
    • Ages 8-13 will meet June 18-22

    Around the World Culinary

    • Kids will learn about different cultures and create tasty, kid-friendly dishes from around the world.
    • Ages 8-13 will meet June 11-15

    Food is Science

    • Kids will learn the science of food and do food science experiments
    • Ages 6-14 (younger ages may be considered)
    • July 9-13

    Dining from the Rainbow

    • Kids learn about different colored foods, with each day’s menu based off a specific color
    • Ages 8-13 will meet July 16-20

    Art Journaling for Kids

    • Kids learn to keep an art journal filled with writing, sketches, ideas and artwork
    • Ages 6-15 will meet July 9-13

    Drawing and Painting

    • Kids learn the basics of drawing and painting from life focusing on the fundamentals
    • Ages 7-10 will meet June 25-29
    • Ages 11-15 will meet June 4-8

    Art Exploration for Kids

    • Kids will learn drawing, painting and collage
    • Ages 7-11 will meet June 4-8; June 11-15; and July 16-20

    Self Portraits

    • Students learn to draw proportions of the face, how to shade and render features
    • Ages 9-13 will meet June 25-29

    Painting for Children

    • Children learn about the lives of famous artists and prominent art movements
    • Ages 6-10 will meet June 18-22

    Pastel Fun for Kids

    • Kids will learn to explore colors and draw using pastels
    • Ages 5-6 will meet June 4-8 and July 9-13
    • Ages 7-11 will meet June 18-22

    Realism Challenge for Teens

    • Students learn to use pencils, colored pencils and paint to render realistic looking artwork
    • Ages 11-15 will meet June 18-22

    Pastels for Teens

    • In-depth exploration of colors, perspective, and various drawing methods using pastels
    • Ages 12-13 will meet June 11-15
    • Ages 14-17 will meet June 25-29

    Mixed Media Painting

    • Kids learn different mixed media and painting techniques from texture to working images into artwork, layering and creating abstract pieces
    • Ages 7-11 will meet July 23-27

    Art and Play

    • Kids learn drafting design, create inventions, use art, poetry, and writing to create projects
    • Ages 6-10 will meet June 11-15

    Altered Books

    • Students bring a hardback book to alter by cutting, collaging, and painting to create a work of art out of the book
    • Ages 9-15 will meet July 23-27

    Magical World of Puppets and Masks

    • Students are introduced to various types of puppetry and mask work and will create their own for a final showcase
    • Grades 1-4 will meet June 25-29

    Paper Dolls

    • Kids design and color their own paper dolls and accessories, assign them careers and hobbies, and develop wardrobes for them
    • Ages 6-9 will meet July 16-20

    Play Making

    • Students will create and perform their own plays; led by award-winning playwright Cayson Miles
    • Grades K-4 will meet June 4-8

    From Page to Stage

    • Young playwrights will create a short play; led by award-winning playwright Cayson Miles
    • Grades 4-8 will meet June 4-8

    Photography and Visual Design for Teens

    • Students explore photography as creative expression and apply basic elements of visual design
    • Ages 11-15 will meet June 11-15 and July 16-20

    Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance

    • Students learn basic musical theatre techniques including voice and dance
    • Grades 1-6 will meet July 9-13

    Space Pirates: A New Children’s Musical Two Week Theatre Camp

    • Students learn to put on a theatrical production
    • Ages 7-16 will meet June 11-15 and June 18-22

    Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Two Week Theatre Camp

    • Kids will produce a rollicking musical version of “Alice in Wonderland”

    • Participate in shark research with our USM scientists by catching, tagging and releasing sharks

    Shaggy’s Angler Camp

    • During the week, anglers will learn how to throw a net to catch bait, how to tag and release fish, and how to target speckled trout, redfish and flounder.
