With a pristine field awaiting and the best part of the summer on the horizon, the Biloxi Shuckers announced on Friday that MGM Park will be transformed into a golf experience unlike any other on the coast over each of the first three weekends in July.

Bill was well known for being Pascagoula High School’s winningest football coach of all time. He was, indeed, an outstanding football coach, but he was much more than that.

The Biloxi Shuckers announced their 2020 promotional schedule on Thursday, highlighted by 12 giveaway nights, daily deals and a pair of specialty jerseys. The 2020 home schedule includes a celebration of one of Biloxi’s favorite sons, the return of Mardi Gras night and ten fireworks shows at MGM Park.

The Biloxi Shuckers, Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, announced a partnership with Hancock Whitney on Thursday for the Mississippi Coast based bank to be title sponsor for two games between Mississippi State and Texas Tech at MGM Park in 2020. The newly named “Hancock Whitney Classic” will take place at MGM Park on March 10 and 11 between the two perennial college powerhouses.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport will host the second annual “Beach Day at the Wheel Way” at the Long Beach Harbor. This free event brings the community together to support children with disabilities and their families. Attendees will enjoy activities the whole family can enjoy, live entertainment and light refreshments, all provided by support from local businesses.

Lewis Sims, Head Football Coach for Pascagoula High School, had a unique college experience: he played linebacker and safety for the United States Naval Academy from 1990-1993. Today, he keeps those deeply grounded academy roots growing strong by staying connected to the program.
