Just west of Oxford, a giant American flag waves above Highway 6, welcoming travelers to one of Mississippi’s most unique destinations. With palm trees lining the entrance and families arriving from across the region, Roundabout Oxford has quickly become much more than an RV park. It’s a full-scale resort designed for making memories.

Situated on 85 acres, the resort was developed by Jay and Cris Hughes alongside Drs. Andrew and Allison Ross. What began as an ambitious vision has grown into a sprawling family-friendly retreat that combines the convenience of modern travel with the atmosphere of a vacation resort.
Today, Roundabout Oxford features 150 fully paved RV sites and 20 luxury cottages, offering guests a variety of ways to stay. The cottages have become especially popular for weekend getaways, girls’ trips, and staycations, giving visitors the chance to enjoy all the amenities of a resort without leaving North Mississippi.

And there are plenty of amenities to enjoy.
At the heart of the property is a water park that feels more like something you’d expect to find at a coastal resort than in Lafayette County. Families can float along the nearly 1,000-foot Swayze River lazy river, cool off in the expansive family pool, race down water slides, or enjoy the splash pad complete with buckets and water cannons. Adults have their own dedicated pool area with lounge seating and a heated spa.

Beyond the water attractions, guests will find miniature golf, pickleball courts, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, walking trails, a fitness center, yoga pavilion, arcade, billiards, and plenty of open spaces for children to run and play.

One of the things that makes Roundabout Oxford especially appealing is its focus on families. The gated property is designed to encourage bike rides, outdoor play, and time together. Parents can relax while children explore, creating the kind of vacation experience that feels increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced world.
Food and entertainment are woven throughout the resort as well. Guests can grab a meal from The Canteen, enjoy frozen specialty drinks poolside, pick up necessities at the camp store, or simply settle into a rocking chair overlooking the water.

With future plans that could include zip lines, ropes courses, and additional outdoor recreation, Roundabout Oxford continues to evolve. More than a place to park an RV, it has become a destination where families gather, friends reconnect, and visitors discover a different side of Oxford—one built around fun, relaxation, and making the most of time together.
