Ocean Springs swept home-standing St. Martin Friday night in Region 7-6A play, while visiting Pascagoula split a pair of games at D’Iberville.
It marked the second sweep of the week in league play for the OSHS squads, after accomplishing the same feat at home Tuesday night against Pascagoula.
The Greyhounds knocked off the Yellow Jackets 55-42 to maintain their hopes of securing the top seed in the upcoming region tournament. Ocean Springs moved to 5-1 in league play and sits currently tied with Pascagoula atop the standings. The Greyhounds are 13-7 overall, and have won five of their past six games.
St. Martin fell to 14-9 overall and sits 0-4 in the region race. The Yellow Jackets got a game-high 26 points from Kaleb Bradley in the loss.
The Greyhounds were coming off that big 74-71 overtime win over Pascagoula earlier in the week when Elijah Isom nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the win that handed the Panthers their first league loss of the year. Ocean Springs got a game-high 24 points from Micah Jones in that win, while Isom chipped in 17 points (including five in OT) and Maddox Noblitt added 16 points for OSHS.
The Lady Greyhounds beat the Lady Yellow Jackets 58-43, moving to 4-2 in league action and remain in the second spot in the region race behind D’Iberville. The SMHS girls are 0-4 in league play as well just like their male counterparts.

In D’Iberville, the Lady Warriors remained solidly atop the region standings with a 58-50 win over the Lady Panthers. The DHS girls moved to an impressive 19-5 overall and a perfect 5-0 in league play with the win and have already secured the top seed in the upcoming region tourney with one more game in the loop left to play left in the regular season.
Teeale Wells led the Lady Warriors with 19 points, including scoring 12 of D’Iberville’s 16 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Kalea Strom chipped in 14 points and Nyla Ratliff 10 points in the winning effort giving the Lady Warriors a trio of players in double digits.

Bethany Graves tallied a game-high 21 to pace Pascagoula, as the Lady Panthers dropped to 1-4 in region action.
The PHS boys managed a split on the evening, beating the Warriors 56-33 to move to 4-1 in the region race and maintain their hopes of securing the top seed in the league tournament.
Dorian McMillian paced Pascagoula with 19 points in the winning effort while Pete Millender chipped in 17 points for the Panthers, who moved to 17-6 overall.
D’Iberville is now 12-14 overall and 1-4 in league play. The Warriors got 10 points from Gabe Wells and nine points from Marcus Washington in the loss.

Region play continues next week, as Pascagoula hosts St. Martin on Tuesday. In other action Tuesday, Ocean Springs travels to Hancock for a pair of games and D’Iberville hosts Long Beach for two contests.
