The City of Pascagoula has been ranked one of the top five cities for families in the southeast.
In a recent article by Nasdaq, the financial services company suggested that those who want to move to a place that prioritizes family life should consider Pascagoula.
“We love this coastal Mississippi city,” an excerpt from the article reads. “The city is very family-friendly: The residents are known to be very nice…Also, the topography is lush, and there’s plenty of open space to play, walk, and bike. And of course, being on the Gulf Coast means it’s a great home for boating, fishing, and water sport enthusiasts.”
Another advantageous feature of Pascagoula highlighted in the article is the affordable childcare.
Pascagoula Mayor Jay Willis was ecstatic to see that the city made the list.
“It’s exciting to see others acknowledge what we already know—that Pascagoula is a wonderful place to live,” he said. “We are seeing tremendous growth in our city. This positive press will only help as we continue to work to attract people to live here.”
The other places that accompanied Pascagoula in the rankings were Midland, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; Durham, North Carolina; and Greenville-Mauldin-Easley, South Carolina.
