Two Mississippi Museums – Jackson
Founded in 2017 in celebration of the state’s bicentennial, the Two Mississippi Museums have exceeded expectations as the joint venue is welcoming around 240,000 people during years that aren’t plagued by COVID-19. Take an afternoon (or an entire day) to check out both the Mississippi History and Civil Rights museums as it is worth exploring the good, the bad, and the ugly of Mississippi’s past. Through the papers of Medgar Evers, the doors of the Bryant Grocery Emmitt Till walked through before being killed, and over 66,000 more Mississippi-related artifacts, you will come out of these two museums more informed than you were beforehand.
