Walter Anderson Museum of Art – Ocean Springs
Centered in downtown Ocean Springs, there are not many afternoons more ideal on the coast than grabbing a bite to eat and hitting the Walter Anderson Museum right off Government Street. Walter Anderson is one of the more interesting beings I’ve ever studied. A man whose life goal was to become as close as possible with nature, Anderson seamlessly combines art and the beauty of nature in a bulk of his work. On top of that, he was just an absolutely intriguing being as he would spend long periods of time living a primitive, reclusive life on Horn Island. Plus, he would pedal his bike thousands of miles across both the United States and China in his ‘off time.’ Take a visit to this museum and completely delve into the enigma that was Walter Anderson.
