Hotel Whiskey Brings Continued Revitalization to Downtown Pascagoula

Hotel Whiskey brings continued revitalization efforts to downtown Pascagoula and the ground-floor eatery Uncle Joe’s Pizza and Wings. The boutique hotel and restaurant will contribute to the quality of life in Pascagoula while enhancing the downtown area, which prides itself on convenience and comfort.

“It’s been a long road getting here, but we can’t thank everyone in the area enough. It’s been great working with everyone in Pascagoula,” developer Dennis Deboisblanc said. “There’s been a re-energization of the downtown area here, and we’re happy to be a part of it.”

Hotel Whiskey, strategically located in the heart of downtown Pascagoula, offers guests the convenience of walking to local bars, shops, and restaurants. The brand-new facility perfectly blends modern amenities and coastal charm, making it an ideal choice for locals and visitors.

“We are excited about the upcoming ribbon cutting (TBD) for Hotel Whiskey and Uncle Joe’s Pizza and Wings for several reasons,” shared Paige Roberts, President & CEO of Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. “Number one, it’s another Delmas Avenue business that will likely thrive and contribute to our revitalization efforts. Number two, this is the first project in the Pascagoula revitalization efforts where the developers came from out of state. With projects everywhere from Baton Rouge to the panhandle of Florida, the fact that they landed in downtown Pascagoula is something that all of us that have been working on this revitalization efforts has been working towards.”

Hotel Whiskey is a low-maintenance boutique hotel with a proven business model in Pass Christina and Petal.

“We have formed a good relationship with the developers, and we hope to work with them again,” Roberts said. “We are building up Pascagoula and looking for other places outside downtown with growth opportunities. The Chamber is here to support these projects, and Hotel Whiskey and Uncle Joe’s is a prime example of how they should ideally work. Block by block, space by space, our efforts are strategic and deliberate, and it’s working.”

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is working alongside neighboring cities in their revitalization efforts. Since Hotel Whiskey is a new building, there’s hope it will encourage continued development.

Roberts shared, “The comradery among the developers and community plays a significant role in the downtown growth and success of Pascagoula.”

Walkable communities are a prime attraction for locals and tourists of all ages. Located in a prime location, the mixed-use model of Hotel Whiskey, along with the delicious Uncle Joe’s Pizza and Wings, makes it more evident than ever before that Pascagoula is following a well-proven path.
