It’s that time of year again—when grills are sizzling, flags are flying, and the night skies over Mississippi explode with color and sound. The Fourth of July brings out the best in Southern celebrations, and this year, 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. Across the Magnolia State, communities are pulling out all the stops to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays that are free, family-friendly, and downright dazzling. Whether you’re looking for small-town charm or a riverfront showstopper, here’s where you can catch fireworks in Mississippi this July.

    Coastal Celebrations:

    • Biloxi will host its Big Fireworks Show on July 4 at 9 p.m. at the Biloxi Lighthouse Pier.

    • Gulfport lights up the sky with a beachside display on July 5 at 9 p.m. near Jones Park.

    • Ocean Springs will celebrate with music and fireworks at Fort Maurepas Park on July 3.

    Capital & Central Mississippi:

    • Jackson’s Pepsi Pops Fireworks Celebration returns on July 3 at Old Trace Park in Ridgeland, complete with live music from the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.

    • Brandon will host a patriotic festival and fireworks on July 4 at Shiloh Park.

    • Flowood’s Red, White & Blues Festival will take place at Liberty Park on June 28, with fireworks following a blues concert.

    Northern Mississippi:

    • Oxford’s Freedom Fest is set for July 4 on the Square, with fireworks launched from Oxford-University Stadium at 9 p.m.

    • Tupelo’s All-American Celebration at Ballard Park on July 4 includes food trucks, live music, and a big fireworks finale.

    Delta & Western Mississippi:

    • Greenville will light up the sky on July 4 along the Mississippi River levee at 9 p.m.

    • Vicksburg’s Riverfront Fireworks Extravaganza happens on July 4 with riverfront seating and live entertainment.

    • Cleveland will celebrate with a July 4 block party and fireworks at Bear Pen Park.

    South Mississippi & Pine Belt:

    • Hattiesburg’s Star-Spangled Celebration on the River kicks off on July 3 at Chain Park and Petal River Park with fireworks around 9 p.m.

    • Laurel will celebrate on July 3 with its Fireworks Spectacular at Sawmill Square Mall.

From riverbanks to rooftops, Mississippi is bursting with pride and pyrotechnics. Grab a lawn chair, pack some snacks, and make plans to celebrate America’s birthday the Southern way—with a night full of light, laughter, and unforgettable fireworks. 🎆
