Is it too late to still commit to New Year fitness goals and resolutions? I don’t think so! Getting healthy is a goal that millions of people make every year; however, so many of us are guilty of not sticking with it (let’s raise our hands together for this one). If you live in the Hub City, you have a plethora of options to go to start your fitness journey. Let’s go over some of the best places in Hattiesburg to kick off your fitness journey! Each of these places has a free trial, so if you are shopping around for a great place to go to reach your health goals, these are great options to start with!

    Orangetheory

This is one of the most popular gyms in the Hattiesburg area and across the country. Orangetheory is known for its focus on Heart Rate Based Interval Training, which is said to burn calories even after working out. Learn more about Orangetheory here!

When I lived in Oxford, I went to HotWorx, and I loved it! This fun place combines the benefits of a sauna along with an array of different workouts such as Hot Pilates, Hot Cycling, and Hot Blast (this one was definitely a challenge). From isometrics to HIIT, if you want to feel the burn in every way, HotWorx is the way to go! Want to learn more about HotWorx? You can learn all you need to know about them here!

    CycleBar

I can attest that this one will give you a good burn! You’ll feel great after finishing 45 minutes of cycling with a great trainer and upbeat music. You can check out more about their monthly plans here.

    Pure Performance Gym

I know we forget about this option, but working out at home is a wonderful option for those who are a bit shy about going to the gym. Pull up a YouTube video or FaceTime your accountability partner to get a virtual workout session in!

    With This in Mind…

Let’s face it, most of us have goals to improve our health (I, for sure, do). It’s a wonderful aspiration, but it can be a bit overwhelming to find a gym that meets your personal needs. Start with these places to see which place best suits your goals. Additionally, there are other gyms in the area to consider, as well. No matter if you choose a gym (or two) or if you work out at home, remember that with consistency and accountability, you can achieve your fitness goals in 2024. Who’s with me?!
