A Stylish Spark in Gautier: Voodoo Cigar Lounge Lights the Way for Local Growth

Gautier is glowing a little brighter these days — and it’s not just from the stage lights at The Sound Amphitheater. A brand-new hotspot has emerged across the street, bringing a unique blend of charm, culture, and cool to the Coast. We’re thrilled to welcome Voodoo Cigar Lounge, a vibrant new business that’s adding momentum to Gautier’s upward climb.

Voodoo Cigar Lounge isn’t just a place to relax — it’s an experience. A prohibition-style setting meets Southern hospitality to create a welcoming atmosphere for cigar aficionados, cocktail enthusiasts, music lovers, and anyone seeking a laid-back yet sophisticated spot to unwind. Whether you’re grabbing a signature drink before a concert or capping off your night after a show under the stars, Voodoo is the kind of place that makes you feel like you belong.

The story behind the lounge is as authentic as the experience. Owners Courtney Sansgter and Josh Rose dreamed up Voodoo with the heart of Gautier in mind. “Josh had been tattooing over in Mobile,” Courtney shared, “and he wanted to create a place right here in Gautier where everyone feels welcome.” And they’ve done just that. “People come in as strangers and leave as family.”

The concept sparked from two passions: Josh’s love of cigars and Courtney’s love for a good vibe. The couple traveled to lounges in Tampa, New Orleans, and beyond, soaking in inspiration. “We thought — can we do this?” Courtney said. “We wanted to help pave the way for what’s to come in Gautier. To bring something here that’s never been here before.”

After just six weeks open, it’s safe to say: mission accomplished.

Conveniently located directly across from The Sound Amphitheater, Voodoo is perfectly positioned to be part of the growing energy in the area. “The Sound started a movement here in Gautier,” Courtney said. “Now, people have somewhere to go before or after a show. They can park their car, walk across the street, enjoy a drink and the atmosphere, and take it all in.”

But what truly sets Voodoo apart is the vibe. Yes, you can get a drink, a cigar, and even a tattoo — all in one visit. But more than that, it’s the kind of place where new friendships are made, where locals and visitors mingle, and where the city’s future starts to take shape.

“We never wanted to take away business from Gautier,” Courtney emphasized. “This is something new. It’s exciting!”

As Gautier continues to thrive with developments like the Town Commons and the buzz surrounding The Sound, businesses like Voodoo Cigar Lounge are helping shape what’s next — and doing it with style.

Cheers to growth, good times, and great local visionaries lighting the way forward. Welcome to the neighborhood, Voodoo!
