    South Mississippi Fair Returns to Laurel With Chapel Hart Headlining

    With a little bit of a chill in the air, it’s the perfect time for some great falltime activities. The South Mississippi Fair rolls into Laurel on October 21 and stays in town until October 29. As always, there will be exciting rides, great music, delicious food, and something for everyone to enjoy.

    There is a headline of great entertainment to entertain the whole family. Wade Shows returns to the Carnival Midway, bringing lots of thrilling rides, family rides, kiddie rides, and lots of great entertainment and food. So come on and get that corndog and funnel cake and enjoy all the fun.

    There is a music great lineup set for this year’s fair with Chapel Hart headlining at the Magnolia Center on October 25 at 8 p.m. There will be a separate admission to see this stellar group of talented Mississippi ladies. Inducted into CMT’s Next Women of Country, Chapel Hart was earned the title of “International Group of the Year” and “International Song of the Year” for their single “You Can Have Him Jolene.” In Scotland, the trio our of Poplarville has received several nominations in the British CMAs for their second release, “The Girls Are Back in Town.” Their shows always contain lots of fun, beautiful harmonies, and emotional ballads. You definitely don’t want to miss these amazing ladies perform.

    There will be plenty of other other musical entertainment too, including The Classix performing on the opening weekend of the fair, Bros 4, Ball and Chain, Champagne Jam, the Journey Tribute Band will bring their Ultimate Tribute Rock Show on October 27, Taste of 59, and Davis County will be performing on various nights of the show.     The fair will be filled with lots of fun and entertainment that is sure to please everyone in the family. Other entertainment will include Grandpa Cratchet’s Clubhouse, Cowtown, the Pork Chop Revue, the Firefighter Show, Pirate Man Dan with a Pirate Adventure Experience, and the Junior Livestock Show. The whole family will love these fun shows. Browse the talent shown in the Art Contest and Arts and Crafts Division. The little ones will especially enjoy getting the chance to pet the animals and see all the sights. There will be lots of activities and fun for the little ones to enjoy.

    For over 100 years, the South Mississippi Fair has been bringing falltime fun, delicious treats, thrilling and family rides, and lots of great musical entertainment to Laurel. Don’t miss out on all the fun and tradition of the South Mississippi Fair. See you at the fair!
