PASCAGOULA—There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home. That’s right, and Pascagoula has welcomed home Olivia Randle to fill the vacated seat of Main Street Director for its city.
Born and raised in Pascagoula to Seth and Callie Randle, also both from Pascagoula, she is a 2019 graduate of Pascagoula High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi in 2023.
Taking on this role, she knew she was following in some big shoes behind Rebecca Davis and Susannah Northrop who each shaped Main Street Pascagoula into what it is today, but it is still evolving. She said strengthening confidence in Main Street and providing meaningful support to its businesses is her short-term goal.
“I hope to foster a sense of connection and ensure our community feels heard and engaged in the growth of our districts,” Ms. Randle said.
To meet this goal, she said number one on the list is to build relationships and connect with people in the community to help Main Street Pascagoula meet its full potential.
“My background has given me a deep understanding of how to connect with people, tell a community’s story, and bring ideas to life through creativity and organization,” she said. “As someone who works hard and takes pride in seeing projects through, I’m passionate about helping our town reach its full potential.”
She said her relationship with the community as her hometown will aid in this goal, but her love for the community is what will keep her passionate about this job.
“I not only know this community well, but I truly love it,” she said. “I see the growth and possibility that can continue because of the wonderful work that has already been done here.”
But she can’t do it alone. For the Main Street districts to be successful, the community must support local businesses, support Main Street events, share business promotions and engage with the districts in person and online.
“I want the community to provide feedback and ideas, and encouragement helps ensure our growth reflects the voices of those who live, work and play here,” she said.
As Ms. Randle begins her work and begins building relationships with the community, the popular Main Street annual events will continue through 2026.
“I’m truly honored and proud to be in this position and to work alongside amazing people and businesses putting in the work for our beloved city,” Ms. Randle said.
