In Tupelo, Mississippi, the memory of Elvis Presley lingers among the magnolia trees. He is everywhere, he is beloved, he is “The King.” The legendary singer was born in 1935, and the King City still hosts a dedicated fanbase from all over the globe. Paul Kevin Curtis, a unique figure from Tupelo, deeply admired Elvis Presley and performed in a one-of-a-kind double Elvis revue with his brother Jack. His discovery in a morgue during his maintenance job led him into a world of conspiracy theories on the internet, ultimately leading to a journey filled with shocking twists and turns of events.

The “Kings of Tupelo: A Southern Crime Saga” documentary is a unique exploration of Curtis’s life and his mission to uncover the secrets of Tupelo. The film delves into the mind of a man who, driven by his admiration for Elvis Presley, finds himself in a web of conspiracy theories. It includes interviews with Curtis’ family, friends, and enemies, providing a comprehensive view of his unbelievable story. Curtis’ actions spark a feud that escalates to Washington, DC, with government officials receiving mail containing ricin. To avoid a lifetime in prison, Curtis must prove he is innocent and not the villain he is made out to be.

The three-part true crime doc is a winding tale that’s wilder than any yarn you could spin,” stated Netflix writer, Roxanne Require.

Get ready to unravel the gripping tale of The Kings of Tupelo: A Southern Crime Saga. Watch the trailer here and mark your calendars for the highly-anticipated premiere on Netflix, scheduled for December 11th. Prepare to be captivated by this compelling story of one man’s quest for truth in the face of a shocking conspiracy in Mississippi.
