Chandler Stewart Beasley of Pascagoula has been named the Teacher of the Year for Singing River Academy.

Bridgett Parker of Gautier has been named Trent Lott Academy (TLA) Teacher of the Year.

In only her second year at Beach Elementary, Brittany Murray, a 3rd-grade teacher from Pascagoula, has been named Beach Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Jenny Bristow of St. Martin has been named Teacher of the Year for both St. Martin High School (SMHS) and the Jackson County School District (JCSD).

Binder has been teaching for 12 years in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. She teaches fourth grade and teaches all subjects – math, reading, language, science, and social studies.

Each year, motivated students take Advanced Placement tests after a year of rigorous studies, hoping to earn a score high enough to earn college credit before even starting freshman year.
