    Sugar Bert Boxing Presents Sugar Bert Boxing’s “WBC Green Belt Challenge”

    National Qualifier Feb. 21-23, 2020

    Amateur Boxers to compete in world-class amateur boxing with 8 different categories in a double eliminator.

    The World Boxing Commission’s Board of Governors has commissioned a new WBC Sugar Bert Title. The first ever Sugar Bert Boxing National Qualifier (Double Eliminator) event for the coveted title “The WBC Green Belt Challenge” will be held Feb. 22-23.

    Top amateur boxers throughout the U.S. and Caribbean will compete in Biloxi. Amateurs will be able to use this opportunity to springboard into Championship rankings and earn bragging rights as winners in the upcoming Sugar Bert Boxing National Qualifier. The two-day event, sanctioned by USA Boxing and sponsored by TITLE Boxing, the World Boxing Council, Raynelo Management, and Rite Hook Boxing, features Olympic-style amateur boxing at its highest level.

    “More International boxers are recognized at this tournament as one of the largest USA open invitation boxing tournaments in the country,” says Bert “Sugar Bert” Wells, president of Sugar Bert Boxing Promotions.

    The championship is being held Feb. 22-23 with registration at MS Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Championship Sunday (Feb. 23rd) is the Best Boxing. The Best Boxer registration is already open at www.SugarBertBoxing.com. The weekend event begins Friday, Feb. 21st at noon as guests arrive at our host hotel, Hotel Centennial Plaza and the tournament kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the MS. Coast Coliseum & Convention Center at 2350 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, MS.. Doors open at 12pm for spectators on Feb. 22-23.

    Boxers will compete in three different rings at the championship, separated by eight categories (Pee Wee, bantam, intermediate, junior, intermediate, elite, female, and masters). Those that compete will receive a Title Belt from Title Boxing and Medals from the World Boxing Council. International boxers are welcome to compete at this event.

    General admission tickets for the Sugar Bert Boxing “WBC Green Belt Challenge” event start at $10 for children ages 4-8, and $15 for adults. VIP (Ringside seats) are $25.
