    Spring break seasons here, and hundreds (possibly thousands) of Mississippians will be looking for the perfect place to have their spring break staycation. Luckily, you don’t have to leave the state to experience a fun, memorable staycation. Keep reading for some of the top places in Mississippi to staycation for spring break this year! 

    Bay St. Louis

    Located on the Mississippi Coast, Bay St. Louis is a quiet, quaint city that is perfect for a spring break staycation. Spend your time visiting the Alice Moseley Museum and sitting on the beach. Additionally, you can go on the Historial Haunted Bayou Cruise. Smith and Lens art gallery is located in Bay St. Louis features new talented artists every month with their captivating pieces.

    Hattiesburg

    Hattiesburg is one of the most popular cities in Mississippi. Over the years, it has experienced a lot of growth and infrastructure. Downtown Hattiesburg and the historic district are perfect places to explore with lots of fun activities such as ax-throwing, museum hopping, and eating some delicious foods. 

    Oxford

    How touristy is Oxford? Spring break in Oxford is worth it for a visit to the square, which is full of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. Some of the most famous places to eat on the square are Ajax and Boure. 

    Tupelo

    Tupelo offers a walkable downtown full of delicious restaurants, art, and local charm. Enjoy several different parks,  take a self-guided art walk, visit Elvis Presley’s birthplace, play disc golf, or enjoy an evening at Queen’s Reward Meadery. Traveling with kids? Visit the Buffalo Park and Zoo, and get a sweet treat at Crave.

    Natchez

    If you are looking for a place with historically rich stories, Natchez is a great choice for you to spend your spring break staycation. Do you plan on taking Mississippi history classes? I am sure that you will run across some lessons that occurred in this city.

    Southaven

    Located on the Mississippi and Tennessee state line, Southaven should be on your list of cities to visit for your spring break staycation. The Liberation Escape Room is perfect for you and your pals to enjoy.
