When the action gets too intense, legendary entertainer; Rudy Burns, will be providing the laughter, and kids activities. “We are excited to come back for Southeast Mississippi’s Greatest Rodeo. We have added the Rawhide & Dusty Show to this year’s lineup and the fans in attendance also have a free chance to win a $70,000 sweepstakes to a Dodge Ram of their choice. “Last year’s rodeo was great, but the 17th Annual Jackson County Sheriff’s Rodeo will be even better”, says Premier Rodeo Productions president, Steven Campbell.

Jackson County native; Dylan Emerson, looks forward to competing at what is considered to be a hometown event. Emerson had a stellar year riding bulls in 2017. The 24-year-old from Hurley, MS reigning bull riding champion of the N.C.P.R.A. “It’s not every day that you get to do what you love in front of the ones that love. This will be the seventeenth year for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office to host the Rodeo that we all have come to love and enjoy. Over the past year the money raised from the Rodeo assisted the Auxiliary Division in training, equipment, uniforms, bereavement purposes and other special needs that have risen in the county. The Auxiliary Division has chronicled more than 20,000 hours of service to the citizens of Jackson County as well as augmenting the Patrol Division, increasing our Law Enforcement presence and expanding coverage across Jackson County.
