New Year, New Look for Our Mississippi Home

2021 can’t come soon enough, right?

Our Mississippi Home is right there with you.

We’re counting down the days because when 2021 rolls around, we’ll begin unveiling a whole new look on our website and social media that will make Our Mississippi Home an even better place to celebrate all that is good about our state.

To bring this fresh vision to life, we’ve partnered with the creative minds at Christie Fountain Advertising in Ocean Springs, where Principal and Creative Director Christie Fountain and her team, including Art Director Debbie Feister and Advertising Manager Pageann Fletcher, were inspired by all the things that make Mississippi the best place to live.

“Our goal was to create an original mark that supported the reasons people truly love it here – we’re refreshing and modern, yet casual and friendly,” Fountain said. “We’re bordered by an ecosystem of beautiful coastal habitats and wildlife and centered by strong economic development and innovation.”

Fountain said she decided to take on the job of revamping Our Mississippi Home’s look because the good news publication is an “important and positive” source for all the local news you love to read.

“The more people know about our beautiful community, the better,” Fountain said. “The people. The food. The nature. The recreation. The shopping. The arts. The gaming. The golf. History. Our Mississippi Home may be ours, but a part of it can belong to everyone.”

Despite the challenges of doing business in a COVID-19 world, CFA continues to serve the community thanks to a dedicated team who has faced the situation head-on, Fountain said. CFA is even preparing to relocate soon into a new “creative cottage” directly behind the current one on Highway 90, and the team remains optimistic that their best work is coming in 2021.

“Our vision at CFA is still crystal clear:  To be the most valuable source of inspiration, collaboration and creative execution available to our marketing partners and each other,” Fountain said. “We will be ready when they need us.”
