BILOXI, Miss.—IP Casino Resort Spa and the Biloxi Public Arts Project recently revealed a timeless mural painted by local artist, Grace Bennett.
In partnership with the Biloxi Public Arts Project, the IP accepted submissions at the end of 2021 for a public art mural to be featured at the property’s main entrance. The local artist selected to paint the mural, Grace Bennett, resides in Pass Christian, with public art and design exhibitions throughout the state. Bennett’s work on the mural began in late June and was recently completed.
The IP welcomed guests from near and far to celebrate the completion of the mural. Guests in attendance enjoyed a meet and greet with Bennett, took photos and received a commemorative t-shirt.
The mural is located outside IP’s main entrance and visitors are encouraged to share their photos of the mural on social media with the hashtag #GreetingsFromIP.
“The IP is thrilled to partner with and support the mission of the Biloxi Public Arts Project, and serve as a landmark on Biloxi’s growing art scene. Seeing guests admire and photograph the artwork means we achieved our goals with this project. I’m looking forward to following #GreetingsFromIP to see everyone’s photos with the mural,” said IP’s Project Coordinator, Laura Shoemake.
