The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) and Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) recently announced the seven winners of C Spire’s 2026 prestigious Miss Volleyball award. Each of these senior athletes, one from each of the seven MHSAA classifications, was recognized for distinct excellence in their sport, both on and off the volleyball court.

Here is the impressive list of our state’s 2026 Miss Volleyball winners:

    Classification Winner School

Class 1A Alyssa Clifton Potts Camp

Class 2A Ann Fleming Leflore East Union

    Class 3A Dallyn Haupt Kossuth

Class 4A Allie Keller New Albany

    Class 5A Rivers Dedeaux Sumrall

    Class 6A Madison Reso Hancock

    Class 7A Kristen Bailey Brandon.

There were several new winners of the coveted title this year, with the only repeat winner being New Albany’s Allie Keller in the 4A classification. But in Class 7A, Kristen Bailey is the second recipient from Brandon, with Emily Davis winning in 2023. Plus, Ann Fleming Leflore helped lead her East Union team to a perfect season (37-0) through the North Half championship in 2A play.

Each of these impressive young women will be honored individually and as a group at a special awards luncheon in the MHSAA Conference Center on Thursday, October 22, which will also be livestreamed by the NFHS Network.

But before this celebration, these seven athletes will also be recognized during pregame ceremonies at the upcoming state volleyball games. And five of our Miss Volleyball winners will also be participating in the 2026 MHSAA Volleyball State Championships.

Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi, this championship tournament will take place Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, in Clinton, Mississippi, on the campus of Mississippi Christian University in the A.E. Wood Coliseum.

Here is the championship schedule for Thursday, October 15, 2026:

    Time Classification Opponents

    Noon2AEast Union vs. Enterprise Clarke

    2 p.m. 6A Center Hill vs. Hancock

    4 p.m.5ANew Hope vs. Sumrall

6 p.m.7A Lewisburg vs. Ocean Springs.

Game times for Friday, October 16, 2026 are:

    Time Classification Opponents

10 a.m.3AKossuth vs. Our Lady Academy

    Noon1AIngomar vs. Resurrection

2 p.m.4ANew Albany vs. Choctaw Central.

Five of these 14 teams will be returning to Clinton after competing in and winning the 2025 MHSAA State Volleyball Championship titles for their schools, including Ingomar, Our Lady Academy, New Albany, Sumrall, and Ocean Springs.

For three of those five teams that are seeking repeat crowns, 2025 marked their first-ever state championship win. As such, New Albany, Sumrall, and Ocean Springs are hungry for their second consecutive title in 2026.

But Ingomar and Our Lady Academy have even more riding on this year’s championship games.

Currently in the 1A bracket, the Lady Falcons of Ingomar are working toward their fifth consecutive state title, after their fourth championship win in 2025. Of note, Ingomar won three of those championship titles in the 2A classification.

In 3A play, the Lady Crescents of Our Lady Academy also won their fourth consecutive championship last year. But get this: another win this year would not only be their fifth championship in a row, but it would also mark nineteen state volleyball titles for their school. That’s right – 19 MHSAA State Championships.

So, don’t miss the action this week during the 2026 MHSAA State Volleyball Championships. Go to https://www.misshsaa.com/2026/10/13/2026-mhsaa-volleyball-championships/ for more details.
