    2022 Mississippi Songwriters Festival will be held September 15th – 18th, 2022.

A four-day annual event packed with live music from local and national working musicians features original songs performed by the writers. It is a fun filled four-days of music on the Mississippi Coast with 100 plus musicians contributing across a dozen stellar venues.

The Mississippi Songwriters Festival 2022 will take place in 12 separate locations over the four days. There will be multiple acts taking the stage, artists will rotate across the many participating venues. Come out, have some fun and hear some original music. This event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee

The kick-off on Thursday, September 15th, is at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center at 7pm, and then continues at Neon Moon nightclub at 9pm for music all evening.

Expect performances set across the Ocean Springs Downtown with multiple venues; including The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Art Center, Neon Moon, Murky Waters OS, Julep Room Lounge, The Roost, Knuckleheads and Rooftop Taco & Tequila Bar. There will also be Friday evening performances at Fort Maurepas City Park and Nature Preserve across from Front Beach Ocean Springs, with live music outdoors from 6pm until about 9pm

Music will be playing at so many locations, it will be easy to come out and find a place to relax and enjoy the festival.

Also participating will be Marina Cantina and Aztecas, you can find these stages on Bienville Blvd in Ocean Springs. The festival extends out to several locations in Gautier as well; you will be able to find the festival music at Hickory Hill Country Club & Resort and American Legion Post 1992. Each location will have a full line-up of musical talent performing, so head to any of the participating businesses for a rocking good time.

There will be several special events to look forward to such as writing workshops, listening sessions and more. Check the MS Songwriters Alliance website for all the Festival dates, times and details.

Murky Waters OS will offer special events both Saturday and Sunday. The Youth Showcase on Saturday, will highlight performances from younger musical talents, under 21 years old, starting in the afternoon at 2pm on the outdoor stage. Then on Sunday, starting at noon, there will be a Devotional followed by the Gospel Showcase leading into the Festival Finale.

It takes so many wonderful musical artists, plenty of local businesses, and endless hard-work and organization from the MS Songwriters Alliance to put together this special music festival each year.

Mississippi is looking forward to the Annual Mississippi Songwriters Festival coming in Sept 2022.
