    MGCCC Perkinston Campus Prepares for Festival of Lights on December 2

    Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will hold its 2022 Festival of Lights celebration on December 2 at the Perkinston Campus.  Activities begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m., ending with a spectacular fireworks display.

    This event promises fun for the entire family featuring a parade and pictures with Santa, an art show, a petting zoo, inflatable activities, musical and dance entertainment, games, crafts, and train and Ferris wheel rides.

    Rides and games are complimentary, and the event is open to the public. A wide variety of food booths and food trucks will also be available.

    Festival of Lights Schedule:

    4:30 p.m.
    Silent Auction Begins • On the lawn below the Bell Tower
    Bookstore Opens
    Food Trucks Open • In the parking lot next to Weathers/Wentzell Center
    Food Booths Open • On the lawn below the Bell Tower

    5:00 p.m.
    Santa’s Parade • President’s Circle
    Children’s Village • Weathers/Wentzell Center
    Calling all Angels Art Show & Sale • Malone Hall
    Paint a Mug or Plate ($10) • Malone Hall
    Paint a Holiday Ornament with the Perkettes ($5) • Malone Hall
    Hot Chocolate with the Perkettes ($1) • Malone Hall
    Pictures with Santa • Under the Oaks
    Pictures with Characters • Under the Oaks
    Candyland Pictures with the Perkettes • Malone Hall
    *(For pictures, please bring your own camera.)
