The Willis H. Lott Learning Resources Center (LRC) at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus has partnered with the Mississippi Humanities Council to host a family literacy program. The weekly programs will be held on the second floor of LRC each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., from Jan. 28 to March 10.

Are you looking for a Sunday Excursion? Then you must visit the temple Wat Buddhametta Mahabaremme, located just south of I-10 at 6300 Martin Bluff Road in Gautier. Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. the worshipers and monks of the temple serve a buffet like no other, which can be taken out or enjoyed on the magnificent grounds of the temple.

Take a step back in time and enjoy a Victorian Christmas in Hattiesburg, Dec. 14 to 15. Partnering with Visit Mississippi, the Historic Hattiesburg Neighborhood welcomes everyone to enjoy an elegant Christmas of years past at the 43rd Annual Victorian Candlelit Christmas. The Hub City will light up as the city takes part in the Downtown Candlelit Christmas, and there is sure to be something for everyone in the family to enjoy this weekend full of activities.

Admission to the Center is being waived during the Holiday Marketplace taking place during Christmas by the River in Moss Point on Saturday, Dec. 7. Captain Benny McCoy will also be offering 30-minute marsh tours for $10 per person between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
