It is official. Hubfest is on the horizon! In less than two weeks, Hattiesburg and the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) will host their first Eaglepalooza since 2019. This anticipated festival commenced nearly two decades ago. Since its founding, people from the Hattiesburg region and beyond have gathered for this annual event. Its grand reintroduction is bound to bring a huge crowd of visitors— from both near and far.

Eaglepalooza is sponsored by The University of Southern Mississippi, the Jones Company, Visit Hattiesburg, Coca-Cola, and many other businesses. It is the long awaited event that kicks off Hubfest.

    Event details:

    • Date: March 28, 2025
    • Time: 7:00 PM
    • Location: Downtown Hattiesburg
    • Admission: Free

    About Eaglepalooza

This event’s primary focus is on strengthening the student body at USM and the Hattiesburg community by encouraging observation and participation in the arts. Singer and songwriter Briston Maroney, known for his hit record Freakin’ Out on the Interstate, will be headlining this event. There will also be performances by Rock-and-Roll Blues band, Grits and Greens, who is the opening act. Lastly, DJ Kuhjo, known for his energetic sets, will be featured at this year’s festival.

    What to Expect?

If you plan to attend this year’s festival, set your expectations for a grand time. Here’s what to expect:

    • Food vendors
    • Live and lively music
    • Pleasant interactions with other attendees

Beyond the music, Eaglepalooza is a fun, unique opportunity to experience the thriving community of Hattiesburg. Regardless if you’re a USM student, another college student, a local, or someone from another area, this festival ensures that you see the depth of this wonderful city. Not only does Eaglepalooza showcase exceptional talent within the state, it is a great way to support local, small businesses.

    More Than Music

With its stellar lineup of artists, energetic atmosphere, and community spirit, Eaglepalooza is set to be one of the biggest events in the Hub City in 2025. Whether you’re a longtime fan who was attending before 2019 or a newcomer, this major event will promise a day of lifelong memories. Will this be your first Eaglepalooza attendance, or have you been before? Let us know in the comment section of Our Mississippi Home’s Facebook page!
