    Here are the places to find the BEST king cakes on the Coast! I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and love all things sweet, especially trying every flavor and brand of king cake on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

    Quality Bakery in Gulfport

    King cake

    Quality Bakery (1623 25th Ave in Gulfport) offers traditional plain king cakes as well as cakes that can be filled with your choice of flavor. A cake with a single filling is $18 and a double filling cake is $19. Apple, Bavarian, blueberry, cherry, lemon, pecan praline, raspberry and strawberry are all flavors you can choose from. 

    Cheeky Monkey Cake Company in Biloxi

    Cheeky Monkey Cake Company, located in Biloxi at 266 Debuys Road, offers traditional cream cheese, strawberry cream cheese, blueberry cream cheese, and raspberry cream cheese flavored king cakes in the case daily. Specialty flavors such as turtle, pecan praline, achin for bacon, Elvis, Fat Elvis, pina colada, lemon cream cheese, apple pie, chocolate covered cherry, and chocolate covered strawberry can be special ordered. 

    Fleur de Lis Gourmet Bakery in Gulfport

    Fleur de Lis Gourmet Bakery, located in Gulfport at 500 B Courthouse Road, has pithivier, also known as French king cake. All butter puff pastry is served with your choice of flavoring inside for $35. They offer praline pecan cream cheese (their most popular flavor), strawberry cream cheese, raspberry cream cheese, almond cream, chocolate almond cream, and raspberry almond cream. 

    Dolce Bakeshop in Long Beach

    Dolce Bakeshop, located in Long Beach at 112 W Third Street, offers multiple king cake options, including a special Harry Potter themed one. For $36, each cake is filled with a Butterbeer filling (color of your choosing) and topped with Dolce buttercream while adorned with a souvenir pair of Harry’s glasses, two chocolate frogs, a chocolate pretzel “wand,” and an edible crest. Regular king cakes are $26 and come in traditional king cake flavors, but for $28, you can get a premium filled flavor like peach cobbler, cookie butter cream cheese, Nutella, s’mores, praline, or kitchen sink.

    Makin Groceries in Biloxi

    Makin Groceries in Biloxi offers vegan and gluten free king cakes upon request. Vegan king cakes are $25, gluten free $30, gluten free filled $35, and regular filled are $30 (apple, cashew cream or berry). Order through their Facebook page.

    If you aren’t the biggest king cake fan but still want to partake, we’ve got you covered. Le Café Beignet offers king cake beignets stuffed with cinnamon and cream. Layla’s Café offers king cake cannoli’s. The Thorny Oyster offers a cream cheese king cake panna cotta dessert. Tatonut offers king cake donuts (pictured above). Chandeleur Island Brewery has its own king cake ale. One Thirty One Lameuse in Biloxi and Mosiac in Ocean Springs both offer king cake martinis.
