Gulfport Dragway is getting a jump start on the Cruisin’ fun. Stephanie Lea, Event Coordinator, is ready for this year’s events with The Early Bird “Old School Swap-meet & Car Corral,” that will kick-off Cruisin’ the Coast 2022 at the dragway.

    Come for the fun all-weekend, Saturday & Sunday, October 1 – 2, 2022.

The Biggest Block Party in America, keeps getting bigger and better! Again, voted the #1 Auto Show in the USA by USA Today! The attendance seems to always increase as does its popularity. How can an event so great get bigger and better? Start earlier, and offer more tire burning action!

    paw paw

Gulfport Dragway will be buzzing with tire-smoking action!

You can expect RV and tent camping, a pin-striper on-site, local tasty food trucks and a friendly crowd. The Early Bird “Old School Swapmeet & Car Corral” will open at 9am, both Saturday and Sunday, entrance fee is $10 cash. There will be live entertainment on Saturday evening to keep the festivities rocking.

A big attraction will be the Swap Meet, buy or trade, come on and check it out before the official Cruisin’ the Coast Swap at the Coliseum even opens. This is the perfect way to find out what is going on and meet fellow early arrivals. If you have a Rat Rod, a Classic Car or Truck to sell or want to be part of the swap event contact the Gulfport Dragway for more details.

There is plenty of open space for RV’s, so everyone is comfortable and safe. RV camping starts at only $50 a night.

A Dragway favorite event is always the tire-smoking burnouts on the open pit. It’s going to be loud and smokey! There will be racing in the day; Run What You Brung, Flag Drop Racing and an Open Pit later on. Come early and make a day of it. Be sure to expect a large turn-out, and there will be flames. The burn-out competition is a thrill if you have never experienced it.

The Gulfport Dragway is a great way to start out Cruisin’ the Coast 2022.

Don’t forget there is always regular racing each and every Wednesday. Head out, bring friends and family and watch those tires spin at the Gulfport Dragway. No matter what you love about dragways, you’ll find it here and plenty of friends to share it with. Happy Cruisin’ the Coast 2022!
