The Gulf Coast Community Foundation (GCCF) donated $100,000 to the United Way for Jackson & George Counties. This donation will support the Long-Term Recovery Committee (LTRC), which was formed in the aftermath of a tornado that devastated the Moss Point community on June 19, 2023.
The United Way for Jackson & George Counties will utilize this funding to collaborate with local agencies, residents, and disaster relief experts to rebuild or repair homes that were damaged.
“The Gulf Coast Community Foundation holds a deep responsibility to support our community in times of adversity,” said Christen Duhé, GCCF president and executive director. “We hope this donation helps the Moss Point Long Term Recovery Committee in their journey towards renewal and restoration.”
