It can be hard to find healthy options when you’re going to be out of the house for a while. Fast food options are abundant, but a healthy snack or meal can be hard to come by. Now, Jackson County residents have an option to visit Gautier Nutrition for healthy alternatives to meals, snacks, and drinks.

“Gautier Nutrition makes it easy for people that just want to quickly and effortlessly get their healthy fix,” said Tyler Rutland, co-owner of Gautier Nutrition. “It’s like fast food for healthy people.”

The shop opened at the beginning of June and offers meal replacement shakes, loaded energy teas, and other related products for those looking for a healthy alternative to everyday foods.

Co-owner Lori Case began a similar venture close to Brookhaven approximately a year ago and the idea really took off there, according to Rutland. Case and Rutland then began to look at the Mississippi Coast and noticed a lack of healthy food options in the area. Rutland moved here in December 2018 and started opening clubs with Gautier being the most recent.

And the most exciting, according to Rutland. She said the response in Gautier has been amazing, and they already have a number of regular, daily customers.

“Our customers have been rooting for us since the beginning,” Rutland said. “The residents are truly so thankful for a quick, healthy option. Lori and I truly love helping people to where they want to be, and we are so glad we chose the coast!”

Besides being just a healthy alternative to everyday meals, snacks and drinks while on the go, the pair also sell Herbalife products, which people can join to have products delivered to their house.

“Living in South Mississippi, we learned that opening a Nutrition Club gave so many people the option of healthy breakfast and/or lunch and the teas provided energy without all of the sugar,” Case said. “We are so appreciative of the support that Gautier has shown and are very proud of the results that Tyler has achieved with this business!”

To learn more about Gautier Nutrition, you can find them on Facebook. They also offer $1 off any shake or shake combos when people check-in on social media.

“I truly believe at Gautier Nutrition we provide awesome products but also a fun and positive atmosphere,” Rutland said.

Gautier Nutrition is located at 3880 Gautier Vancleave Rd. Suite 2. Their phone number is 228-243-9212. They are open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
