Beau Rivage’s Cruisin’ The Coast Lineup to Feature Beach Boys, Tony Bennett, Official Cruisin’ Sock Hop Pool Party, Food & Drink Specials and Designated Parking for Cruisers

Coastal Mississippi goes back in time as its streets are inundated with classic and hot rod vehicles and the sounds of nostalgic music fills the air during the 23rd Annual Cruisin’ The Coast, Oct. 6-13.

The weeklong party, dubbed “America’s Largest Block Party” is expected to draw more than 8,500 vehicles from around the globe, and all roads lead to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for a fabulous week of classic fun.
Cruisers can showcase their rides along Coastal Mississippi’s 30-mile stretch of beach-side highway connecting a number of venues that feature stages for live music, car shows, swap meets and vendors.

What began in 1996 with 374 registered cars to last year’s record-breaking 8,444 cars from 44 states, Cruisin’ the Coast has grown to become the largest special event in the state of Mississippi and was voted the Best Car Show Competition in the U.S. in 2018 by readers of USA TODAY.

“Hosting cruisers is something that our team has looked forward to for each of the last 20 years of our sponsorship,” said Beau Rivage Vice President of Marketing Brandon Dardeau. “In addition to live entertainment, we’ve added several new amenities that cruisers can enjoy, including the new TAP Book, Bar & Bistreaux and the soon-to-be-open Topgolf Swing Suite. This year we’re pleased to have Tony Bennett kick-off the week, then on Wednesday we open our pool deck for the official Cruisin’ the Coast Sock Hop with The New Orleans Mystics, and the week is capped off by the legendary cruising band The Beach Boys, in our theatre on Friday and Saturday nights.”

The party at Beau Rivage gets firing on all cylinders on Sunday, Oct. 6, when 19-time Grammy Award-winning musician Tony Bennett brings his I Left My Heart Tour to Beau Rivage Theatre. Tickets are available for $89.95, $99.95, $119.95 & $149.95 plus tax and facility fee and can be purchased by calling the Beau Rivage Theatre Box Office at 888.566.7469 or online at beaurivage.com. One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to Exploring The Arts, Inc. a non-profit organization committed to restoring the arts in American classrooms nationwide and founded by Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, cruisers are invited to the Cruisin’ the Coast Sock Hop Pool Party where the smooth sounds of The New Orleans Mystics will take party-goers back to the 50s, 60s and 70s on the Beau Rivage pool deck. The quartet, backed by a six-piece band, bring high energy choreography, incredible vocals and dazzling outfits to each performance. Doors will open at 6 p.m., from 6 – 8 p.m., Courtney Hansen, executive producer and TV Personality, History Channel’s “The Ride That Got Away,” author and former host of Overhaulin’ and PowerNation, as well as Cristy Lee, host of Barrett-Jackson LIVE and All Girls Garage on MotorTrend Network, will be on hand for a meet and greet, autograph signing and photo opportunity, while DJ Hyphee spins classic tunes from 6-7 p.m. Tickets cost $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Cocktails and refreshments will be available for purchase.

The stages at Beau Rivage will be rocking with live music through the week, including Dr. Zhivegas at EIGHT75 from 8 p.m.–1 a.m. on Oct. 6 and 7–11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8, and Dian Diaz from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Oct. 9 and 10 and 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Oct. 11 and 12. On Saturday night, guests can also take in a performance by Anderson Domingues at the Breeze Bar from 7 p.m.– 12 a.m.

Patrons can enjoy their musical stylings while imbibing a craft cocktail from a menu developed especially for Cruisin’ the Coast. The classic libations only cost $6 each and include the following: The Nova (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Ginger Beer and Lime), Malibu Punch (Malibu Rum, Pineapple Juice and Lime), The Galaxie (Smirnoff Vodka, Elderflower Liqueur, Fresh Sour and Club Soda), The Sunset Strip (Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Grapefruit Juice and Club Soda), Beach Blvd. Riviera (Gordon’s Gin, Blackberry Monin Syrup, Rock Candy Syrup, Fresh Sour and Club Soda), Pink Thunderbird (Parrot Bay Mango Rum, Ginger Beer and Splash of Pineapple Juice) and Rockett 88 (Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey, Peach Schnapps, Lemonade and Splash of Sprite).

The week-long celebration of classic cars will culminate with two concerts by the legendary Beach Boys on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. in the Beau Rivage Theatre. Tickets must be booked in advance, and cost $44.95, $54.95, $64.95 & $84.95 plus tax and fee, and can be purchased by calling the Beau Rivage Theatre Box Office at 888.566.7469 or online at beaurivage.com.

Beau Rivage will offer designated cruiser parking on the second floor of the parking garage for hotel guests, as well as an offsite location to store travel trailers for interested guests.
