Jackson and George Counties, MS — The Jackson-George Regional Library System (JGRLS) will close all library branches on Saturday, May 31, as staff and patrons come together to celebrate the official launch of the 2025 Summer Library Program Kickoff Celebration. The event will take place at the Ocean Springs Civic Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
This year’s kickoff will be a concert-style celebration packed with fun for the entire family. Attendees can enjoy:

- On-site Summer Library Program Sign-ups
“This event is all about bringing our community together to celebrate the start of a fun and enriching summer,” said Angela Stewart, JGRLS Director. “We’re excited to offer a day full of energy and entertainment while promoting reading and learning all summer long.”
The Summer Library Program is designed to combat the summer slide and keep children, teens, and adults engaged in reading and educational activities throughout the season. This year’s program promises new adventures, themed events, and incentives to make reading an unforgettable part of summer break.
