Adult Active Living Neighborhood Comes to Flowood

Liberte’ development is now open in Flowood. This three-year project is the first built since the late 90’s focused on providing active living for active adults, empty nesters, and retiring baby boomers.

“When the builder first approached me about building this in Flowood, we did extensive research and gathered lots of data about the demographics for this type of product in this area and in Mississippi,” Southern Homes Real Estate managing broker Victoria Prowant said. “About 20,000 Mississippi residents a year are retiring, with 8,600 from Central Mississippi. This type of development has really been needed to take care of this demographic. Baby boomers are a highly active generation, maintain young attitudes and really not ready to go to assisted living.”

Currently two quads, or eight units, are move-in ready with foundations poured on the next two buildings. This developer is getting ahead of the game, providing many amenities in the gated community.

Every unit comes with installed security systems with 36” doorways. The interiors include designer handpicked finishes, hardwood floors, carpet in the guest bedrooms, stainless steel appliances and quartz or granite countertops.

With a monthly HOA of $210, the development includes all exterior maintenance such as mowing the grass, pine straw a couple of times a year, exterior pest control, irrigation system, and even painting or staining the exterior and front door every few years. With the roofs covered by a master policy, homeowners pay no deductible or exterior insurance, covering interiors only.

“The community will include walking trails and zero entry pool and clubhouse, large enough for events needed like yoga or gardening groups. With only 24 quads, and 96 units total, the developer planned this as a relatively small community with the hope residents can get to know each other, doing activities together and living their best life,” Prowant said.

“The maintained and secure development is ideal for someone with multiple properties at the beach or elsewhere,” Prowant continued. “The first houses that sells will also include generous incentives, and some customization is allowed to meet the purchaser’s taste and style.”

Be sure to check out the subdivision’s website here. For more information on the development of Liberte’, Victoria Prowant can be contacted at (601)438-4663 or [email protected].
