Temperatures are increasing, and summer is coming quickly, so you may be considering what activities may be fun to do on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The great thing about a lot of these activities is that they don’t cost anything. The Mississippi Gulf Coast has a variety of activities that involve water and cooling off this summer as well as many other activities that will keep you and the kids entertained!

    Water Activities

    1. Beaches

Well, this one is definitely obvious. However, it is free to go to (except for Ship Island Excursions), and it is relaxing! For more information on what beaches are the best, see this list of Top 5 Mississippi Gulf Coast Beaches. You’ll have to check out Ship Island, as this is a popular beach and destination!

    2. Splash pads

If you need a break from the beach and want the kids to stay cool, visit one of the many splash pads on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. If you’d like more information on splash pads on the Coast, take a look at this list: Splash Pads in Coastal Mississippi.

In addition, there are other family-friendly entertainment shows. Past performances included sea lion shows, live bands, and many others. When you buy tickets at the gate, the cost is $44.99 for those who are 42″ and teller and $29.99 for those who are under 42″. There are regular season passes available for $54.99, where you can have unlimited visits for the whole summer.

    4. Parasail Adventures in Biloxi

Website: www.parasailbiloxi.com/ Interested in a fun adventure? Try parasailing, which is when a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a specifically designed parachute. In Biloxi, you can book a parasailing trip starting at $75 a person. The tour lasts about an hour and a half, which includes leaving the harbor, the ride to the parasailing point, the parasailing, and the trip back. This company does parasailing trips 7 days a week from 10-5 pm as long as weather permits.

    5. North Star Sailing Charters

Website: www.northstarsailingcharters.com/ Want to feel the wind in your hair and enjoy the cool ocean breeze? Take a private charter on the Mississippi Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. These charters are for up to 6 passengers on a 2006 40′ Catalina Sailboat or a 2002 31′ Catalina Sailboat. This company offers scenic cruises, half-day, or full-day charters. The hours for charters are not set and are customizable to your needs and wants.
