While it wasn’t a Black Friday penance, Dunkin’ Donuts made a $1,500 donation to Children’s of Mississippi on this year’s Giving Tuesday.
The money came from this past July when Dunkin’ released its specialty Golden Joy doughnut, which consisted of a golden glaze with a doughnut hole in the middle, as part of its Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
For every Golden Joy doughnut sold at the Pearl location over a 15-day period, one dollar went to Children’s of Mississippi (For you curious people out there, that’s 100 doughnuts per day).
“I think donations like this are special because it is a community fundraiser that Dunkin’ Donuts did at the Pearl location,” Ryan Mains of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) told WJTV. “It is important for the community to be involved, especially given that this is the only children’s hospital in Mississippi.
Pretty a-glaze-ing stuff from Dunkin’ Donuts.
